For the final week of Pacha’s summer season, we covered the closing parties. This meant getting interviews with DJs including David Guetta, Erick Morillo and Swedish House Mafia, and producing promo videos for each night. They were published as part of a week-long Facebook campaign, where fans would post their questions to the DJs during the day, and they’d be answered each night and published straight away. Using a custom built Facebook app we trialled live streaming Q&A but connection speed and the fact that the interviews were generally after 2am prevented much success with this.
We capitalised on the network effect of Facebook, so as well as being seen on the Pacha page, the videos were posted on the DJ’s page, their record label’s page, and so on. The results for Pacha were fantastic.
